Canada Update #4

We had fun with the youth group from Renaissance last night at their Wednesday night meeting!  The night included hockey and water balloons!  The hockey game featured the U.S. vs Canada, with the Canadian team winning 3-1.  Not too bad, I suppose.  Ron's 2 interns from Texas shared some from 2 Cor. 5 and did a wonderful job.

The weather was beautiful today for day 4 of camp.  Gabrielle shared during the devotion time.  I am really proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone.  I am also proud of her for sharing something that included painful memories.  She shared about Jesse Hourigan's battle with cancer, as well as his spiritual journey through that time.  The kids listened so intently to her.

Our plans changed for the afternoon, so we decided to serve Ron by stacking his large pile of firewood.  Afterward we drove just out of town to Bible school here, called Capenwray.  It is a beautiful campus.  We threw football and frisbee, and then spent some time canoeing at the small lake there.  We enjoyed the relaxation and fellowship!  As we left, we spent some time praying for the head of the school, Matt, his family, and the ministry of the school.

We had supper tonight at Jaques & Sharon's.  They are dear friends who we have grown to love over the years.  We enjoyed Jacques Burgers, some soccer, and a grew time of fellowship.

We are looking forward to our last day of camp tomorrow.  Please pray as the gospel will be shared with many people, including most of the parents who will come and join us for our noon barbecue.
