Hey all! I wanted to mention a couple of things here about important upcoming events/happenings.
1. If you are around, come out tonight to uptown Roxboro! Kicking off at around 5pm there will be several bands performing. I have been asked to share the gospel, so I will be presenting The Story. Pray that many who are outside of Christ will come and hear the Gospel! Hope to see you there!
2. On Sunday, August 25th, we will go see the Durham Bulls play in Durham. We will plan to meet at the church at 4pm. The game begins at 5:05, and we should be back at the church around 9pm. You will need to sign up to go by Sunday, August 18th. Tickets should cost around $8, and you will need to bring some extra money for concessions, if you want.
3. On Sunday, September 1st, we will all gather at the Torrence's at 6pm. We will have games outside, pizza for supper, and end the night with a bonfire and s'mores!
4. We have scheduled a fall retreat for October 11-12. The cost for the weekend will be $25. It will be Disciple Now style, meaning we will break up into groups and stay in church member's homes.
Well, that's a good picture of what is coming up. Also, we will plan to begin meeting in The Well for worship together in a couple of weeks!
We are continuing to work to put things on the calendar for the fall. As we add things, we will give you a heads up!
